Pinned And Preserved

Preserved and Pinned is an ongoing series exploring the tension between preservation and destruction, memory and decay. Objects that once carried meaning “fragile, discarded, or restrained” are presented in a suspended state, evoking themes of vulnerability, violence, and resilience. Through carefully composed still life arrangements, each painting captures the quiet unease of objects trapped between past significance and present deterioration.

A fragile, crumpled brown paper bag, taped to a dark, textured wall. The ordinary object is held in an unnatural state of suspension, evoking themes of containment, transience, and quiet tension. The stark contrast between light and shadow enhances the sense of unease, inviting questions about what is hidden or lost.
